Hi all,

Just wondering has anyone had a problem with the bonnet lever under the dash. The other day mine completely came off and couldnt put it back on again when trying to open the bonnet. It was fixed by the dealer but yesterday tried to open the bonnet again and the cable and the whole lever broke. Its going back to the dealer on Monday. I reckon it is so flimsy and not a good design.

It seems a bad design.. hope they can fix it properly. Yes it will be covered under warranty.. not your fault it broke doing a normal thing.. like opening the bonnet.

I had the same problem, and I agree the desigen sucks!

I have resloved the issue permanently by disassembling the handle (the pin that holds it together comes out quite easily) drill 2 of 2mm holes (one each side of the slot where the cable fits) and fitting a neatly bent piece of 2mm wire across the slot so that the cable cannot slide out, and tis seems to work.
