Guys Ive had the week off this week with some serious back pain.

Lying in bed hardly able to Move.

I went to the Chiro once and it made it ten times worse.

So whats the Best Fix in your opinion?

Dude I feel your pain. I did mine a few years ago chopping wood and it is back again this week.

Mine is caused by the Sciatica (sp???) and my whole right leg kills.

At the start of the week I couldn't put on my socks and shoes but now it is getting heaps better.

I went to a Chiro for like 8 months and finally gave up as it was still pretty bad but with stretching and excercise it got better.

Rest really isn't the best option, even though it feels good at the time, because when you go to move again it friggin kills.

Try to keep moving and stretch as much as you can. that's what I found is best for my injury.

Once you have done your back once though that's it. You can still lift heavy stuff etc but then one day you will be down to pick up something and bang it goes again.

Try 2 X Mercyndal (sp???) before you go to bed as it will help you sleep.

Nurofen Plus and Panadene Forte dont seem to help me but they may work for you.

All the best

my step father had severe backpain not long ago, he went to a local chiro/G.P to get advice on whats wrong with his back and what he should do, they did a xray scan to see if he had any slipped disks on his spine and stuff like that, did a ultrasound to check swelling/muscles and he was told there wasnt much wrong with him and theyre unsure what exactly is wrong with his back but from what they could see it was severe even though he was in excrutiating pain....stupid doctors, anyway they gave him some panadol/nurofen lol, went to another doctor and he recommended to go to physio 3x a week see a private chiropractor and rest the rest of the days for 2 weeks. his back is all better now not a single bit of pain on his back.

all in all, go see atleast 2 doctors to get different opinions on what u should do then go on from there

I've had chronic back pain for 3 years, and only just got on top of it. If you're legit and want to chat, bounce me a PM and I'll give you some contacts.

On my front (pardon the reverse-pun) my pain was a result of ankylosing spondylitis, which is an inflamatory condition that apparently ends up in spinal fusion later in life. WOOT! Drugs keep me functioning, though it took 2 years and 10's of thousands to diagnose.

had it for years ,then found a good sports phsyo and with he's exercises and ducene (valium) I now only get the ocasional stiffness and all I need to do is take one ducene every now and then before bed and it's all good

ask your gp for a muscle relaxent most back pain comes from tight muscles and nerves being pinched by them ,losen the muscles and pain goes away

Nasty stuff that Sciatica , suffer from it myself on occassion. Best therapy for me is a good massage to smooth out the lumps pushing on the nerve. Also stay away from hard chairs and take your wallet out of your back pocket as this is enough to aggravate the condition when you sit down.

As for Myrsyndal, great for migraines , but not sure what causes the nightmares and really weird dreams. The migraine or the yellow sleep monsters

I did my Sciatic nerve about three years ago simply by turning my body to see who was calling me. dropped to the floor like a sack of sh_t.

went to a Chiro every three days for about 3 months, did nothing. went to a sports physio 3 times and I'm all good now. bit of acupuncture from them too but no idea if that worked or not.
