Police Attention

I thought I would add my 2 cents worth on this matter. I picked my car up on the 7th May. To this date I have been pulled over 32 times. I had the same trouble in my old vx 2 ss. I ended up getting pulled over 78 times. Not once have I been booked. I have kept a log book in my glove box who has pulled me over. And have asked for explanations on every occassion. All I ever get is that it is for a breath test, licence check and the best one a 19 year old driver driving a new xr6turbo. It just can't be true. The worst thing is that I am in a wheelchair so I have my wheelchair on a hoist on the roof. They still pull me over thinking that I've stolen the car. I just laugh at that excuse because can you imagine someone stealing a car and then putting the roof racks on the top and then hoisting the wheelchair onto the roof. I think by the time I did this the cops would have me. It is becoming a bit of a joke. I actually work for the Queensland Police Service so I'm working on it now. And no, I don't drive like an idiot, I respect my cars.

you are getting pulled over at least once a day. you would think that all the cops in the area would know you by now..

mjh that is unbelievable. Years ago an aboriginal friend of mine bought a then new NV Commodore, and got pulled over 8 times for a look - the cops all thought he stole it!

The funny thing is they pull me over knowing who I am and they have already pulled me over before. Yet, they continually pull me over for the above reasons.

I'm going to have a chat to the officer in charge tomorrow morning at my local station, to see what is going on.

Ive been pulled over once for speeding, and was let off must'n off been speeding that much, the biggest problem I have is people thinking I'm a cop because I drive a white XRT, you can imagine driving down a one way street and the car in front driving 10 k's under the limit. Some nights with friends in the car I drive down princess hwy 10-15 k's under the limit and no car behinds me overtakes, how funny is that.

chrislak - there is an unmarked white ba xr6t in the bexley area, so its understandable as to why people will get nervous around you.

I overtook a copper once near albury. I did it at the speed limit, and about 5 mins later he pulled me over. Checked my licence, and said I was too close to the car infront of me. I explained we were driving together, and I was following cos I didnt know where I was (hehe). He let me go.
