Traction Control

ok well I flash tuned my car again last night on 10psi and it is running alot better.... I went to drive it this monring and it is pooring with rain... I accelerated a little and it broke traction a bit... once it did this the traction control light stayed on....which normally means the tractin is off??? I then tried pressing the traction button to turn traction control on again but the light would not turn off... it was doing nothing... I stopped turned the car off and started it again and the light would go on and off like normal.... but as soon as I accelerated and broke traction again the light would stay on and not go away.... I had to pull over again and turn the car off to make it right again.... does anyone know wat this problem could be??? any help would be awesome thankyou....

I would check your brakes... have you read the error code on the ford flash tuner 2 yet? see what it says. when your down at ford checking out the battery for me.. ask them..

its a common problem with the generic tunes. there is too much torque or something for the TC so it has a hissy fit and wont work any more (till you restart the car)

There is no problem. That's what it does if you leave the traction control on and spin the wheels for too long (3 secs - I could be wrong??)

The traction control will then turn itself off, hence the light staying on. When you turn the car off, it resets itself.

Just turn the traction control off every time you get in the car - or don't smoke the wheels in the rain!!

ok then thanks for that... its kind of hard taking off at the lights in the rain without them spinning... kinda fun though

its just part of having these cars tuned

you will find traction control will be cutting in when it doesnt need to so its best just to get in the habbit of turning it off every time you start your car

yer I would have thought it would have been better to have traction control on.... its pretty much useless in the rain...

I had tc off yesterday in the rain and nearly lost it when I overtook someone, I was in 4th didnt even give it much and the ass end started to overtake me. I sh*t my pants lol
