Ok im thinking out loud and was after some input.

No bullsh*ting, how much do you think I should ask/ would get for my car.

Dec 2002 BA Mk1 XR6T, 98000 odd k's. 4spd auto. Premium sound, cloth interior

Injectors, Herrod stainless Quad exhaust, cat, dump pipe, Actuator, Airbox and crossover pipe, battery relocated, Injectors and pump, valve springs, Rajab Cooler and tuned Edit. All work done by HPF, Good for 307rwkw and 11.9 quarters. Auto has been strengthened and line pressure done by kewish.

19inch pegasus wheels, 245's front 275's rear. Wheels have gutter scraping. AWC BF phoon front bar and bobtail, FPV pod and autometer gauges, FPV steering wheel, Pedals, Illuminated window switches, bf door grabs, FPV silver icc and console details.

Car is in immaculate condition (minus the scraped wheels). Front end will be resprayed (stone chips) before sale, and new windscreen fitted, and interior proffesionaly cleaned. 100000k service done as well.

My brother in law is keen for it, how much should I ask?

Im was thinking about FG, but I dont want to spend that much on an new XR6T again.

Im looking at a 2007 BF2 F6 going for 39,500. Its got high k's, but its a fair whack cheaper than a optioned up FG XR.

It actually works out not costing that much more than my current car in the long run. (Cheaper to insure stock, cheaper to run fuel wise and resale is better on an FPV. And its still under warranty)

I will mod it (only when the warranty expires in a few years), and its obviously a better base to start from to make a monster (which I intend to), as im about at the limit of mine now.

I want a six speed auto and the stonger internals.

Or should I just forget about it completly and keep the BA for a few more years until FG turns up 2nd hand. Im guessing mine will be worth about 200 bucks by then.

The way I look at it, I get a new car every five years. Ill admit it, im bored of mine now. But it still puts a smile on my face everytime I drive it, so I could put up with it for a bit longer.

Thoughts....?

buy the BF, like you say it has everything you want and if you wait for an FG by the time you get one the FG MK 2 will be out and you will want to wait until a cheaper one of those comes up on the market, it is a never ending cycle...

alternatively you could drop a fraction of that money into your existing car, at the end of the day it is 90% the same thing (put a built motor in it and the only differences are the gearbox, brakes and a few luxury items) and maybe you will get a new found enjoyment out of it

I cant see you getting anymore than $20K for your car?

Are you going to be happy with that?

For another car nut who has knowledge about your mods and is looking for such a car then 20k is possible. I'd like to see you get 25K for your efforts, but I think it will be a touch under 20k if you sell to a nobody or trade.

Let us know.

Under 20k. f*ck that makes me sad.

But I figure its only going to lose more value the longer I put off selling it.

If I go the BF F6, I get a newer car, but its now an old shape.

If I wait it out for a second hand FG, its a new shape but my BA car will be worth about 10k by then.

Hmmmm.. still thinking.

Its almost better to take off all the go fast bits and sell the car stock for around the same price.

Maybe even trade people who have stock item for your modified ones with some $$$ your way.

Just look at HULK and a few others who hardly got any more than stock for heavily modified cars.

Seeing as your car is a 2002 model I see you selling it for around $20K too.

Sorry man but that's just the way it is.

Modified cars used to be difficult to sell. With petrol prices at record highs, it's even nastier. If you're handy with the tools, put it back to stock, get a quick retune and sell the go-fast bits. It's your best option.
