Installed Game

Hey guys,

Ive just installed gears of war on my PC and it installed okay yet after about 10 seconds of being in the game it just crashes and returns to the windows screen and no error message or anything comes up... The PC is only literally a week old with the following specs

P2.6Ghz Quad Core

4Gb RAM

Vista Ultimate

512Mb Nvidia 9600GT

I dont see why it should be crashing... I pay the money for a computer yet it cant run certain games

Ive just installed the latest drivers for the graphics card yet no difference.

Any ideas???

Try the latest Nvidia drivers from there webpage , dont use the cd drivers. Also check for updates for the game.

yeh I got the graphics card update straight off the nvidia website and all installed the lastest updates for the game off GOW website

Did you get the game from a retailer or the internet? If its the latter, That explains why!

Latest version of DirectX?

Video drivers?

Sound drivers?

Check to see in the game info that your vid card doesnt have any known issues with the game.

System requirements are fine. It has enough juice to run it.

I would re-install the game.

Its hard to diagnose without an error....

funny enough it didnt ask to install direct x at all?? is that normal?

Will try reinstalling and see if that helps... strange thing is the game loads and im playing the game and then it just crashes...

is there a way of getting error logs off the computer???
