Hey fellas.

Just found this place recently as I am looking at buying a xr6t.

Basically I am looking at one this weekend and hopefully be taking it home all going well and no surprises.

Basically I want to know what to look for etc etc.

ANY help would be much appreciated.

Now the car is slightly modified with injectors, cooler 10psi boost.

I am keen on the car except for some stories I am hearing of bent rods.

is this something to worry about. car has 40,000kms on it has only been modified for approx 18,000kms of that.

says has been looked after service record etc. He seems genuine but so can a used car salesman lol.

Any suggestions.

So it sounds like its had a custom tune then if its running aftermarket injectors. How much power is it making? Who tuned it? Ask the owner for a dyno printout.

Yes has custom tune. has dyno print out.

power is approx 290rwkw.

What year is it? BA, early or late BF? Valve springs done?

is a 2002 BA.

I know old but is in my price range what I willing to spend atm.

kms r genuine. weekend car only.

has nizpro valve springs also yeah.

If you can, stay away from the 5speed manual as they are not up to the job.

:D yeah doesnt have 6 speed.

If he is using Nizpro Valve Springs it would seem he is trying to keep things reliable and appears that he is not taking any shortcuts etc but its hard to tell based on that alone...

What other mods/parts has he used?

If he is using quality parts one would think the car would have been looked after reasonably well...

Also - Who is the tuner? Speak to them about the car, if the owner has ever had him rectify any problems etc...
