that's why I got my car to run really rich with an AFR of 9:1, sometimes it struggles to idle, but its ok because my economy hasn't improved

the real dangerous part about these sh*t things is it actually works by trickin the computer into thinkin the car is always running cold ,so you always get that first run of the morning power ,wich would be especially deadly to a turbo car imagine your intake temps are actually 50 deg and the car thinks it's only 25 deg ,yeh lots of power =no rods ,rings ,bearings

It looks like a 10W wire wound resistor. It fools the computer into thinking the car is running cooler like our06T said. I fitted one a month ago but had to remove it as the extra horsepower made the car almost underivable.

Might be the same POS that I had a look at on a mates Suby - I had a GT and he was trying to tell me how good this little box was he got from ebay.

Took it home and opened it up before I considered even putting it anywhere near my car, and all it was, was a resistor and a cap in side the box... assuming all it did was give a false reading therefore running the mix leaner.. ie- total POS!!!
