Guys I would like to do a bit of a comparison of peoples power levels to the torque there putting out.

If you could post up your replies as follows that would be great.

Gearbox: Stock 5 speed

Power: 200rwkw's

Torque : 450nm

Mods if there is already a thread like this could you please merge it as I had no luck finding one.

this will be tricky, because it is very hard to get an accurate Torque figure from the dyno, so maybe tractive effort?

T56

340rwkw

Tractive effort - ~9000?

Seat of pants feels like 750Nm maybe

Ok how about both? You might have to explain Tractive effort to us less able minded.

to be perfectly honest mate, I don't exactly know how to explain Tractive Effort, it is just very common to see this on the side of a dyno sheet when displaying the torque curve, so this might be easier for everyone to compare...

There's to many factors involved with this...

Gear ratio, tyre diameter, dyno roller diameter etc.

Everyone will be different.

Tractive effort is simply put Torque at the wheels.

Unlike power torque is increased at the wheels. Simple physics big gear turn lever which turns smaller gear which turns wheel etc.

Unless you throw an engine on an engine dyno its hard to get an accurate torque reading for an engine.

PS I have 208.4rwkw (no torque readout)

Yep that's the idea, I'm not looking for dead accurate figures just mass numbers atm.
