February 26, 200818 yr #22 Author Thanks for all the nice comments lads.Well today did some suspension work - Tein Performance Coilover KitWhiteline 30mm front swaySuperpro front lower inner control arm bushingsSuperpro rear bumpstopsHad the car cornerweighted by East Coast Suspension (mostly does Porsche / BMW race cars - even had Jim Richards old Targa car there today)and after dialling the heights came in with LEFT RIGHT FRONT 495 506REAR 393 390WET WEIGHT 1784KGwhich is pretty bloody good I reckon! Running 1.5deg neg camber front and rear, ride height down to 345/350 and 355/350 (left/right/front/rear).I wasnt going to go with the 30mm bar however after they test drove it suggested it needs it, these blokes do know what they are doing and as I am an old customer didnt charge to fit it. Anyway I am not convinced yet (however have not had a chance to really load it up - time will tell)One word on the Teins - Fantastic. Ride is as good if not BETTER than the 6000klm old R SPEC shocks taken out. For those that claim heavy spring rates = rough ride, do you self a favour and have a ride in a TEIN equipped Falcon.....then you wont need to embarrass yourself Still can't go past Work wheels for the ultimate tract weapon look! Did you consider TE37s Rob?Not really mate, I am not a huge fan beleive it or not.
February 26, 200818 yr #23 Looks sensational Rob. Post some pics of the new stance.I want to put these on my car...Here's a really bad photoshop of what it might look like...Don't laugh... Edited February 26, 200818 yr by R-SPEC
February 26, 200818 yr #25 mmm...love a good lightweight rim with a bit of sidewall...looks race-spec
February 26, 200818 yr #27 I luuurve my Teins. They are an awesome bit of kit. Firm but still compliant and when you put the boot in it's just point and shoot. The kind of kit that makes me wish I had a manual instead of the 1/4 mile setup. That's it, I need another T.BTW, car looks sweet. The rims look very nice. Great choice I reckon.I am sure I could help you with that.
February 26, 200818 yr #29 What is a set of Tein suspension worth?Retail I believe is $2360 but they were including the camber/caster kit with that a while back. If anyone is in Melbourne I can thoroughly recommend Centerline Suspension at 72 Lipton Drive Thomastown. Call 03 9469 2914 and ask for Chris. The guys know there stuff and they also did me a really good deal.
February 26, 200818 yr #30 Author Lads to answer your questions - yes, these kind of wheels are available in 19s. Work, Rays, Enkei etc all have comparable wheels. if you have brembos though you will need to do some research. For the wheels I have in 18s expect to pay around 2100-2400 or so a set - NO TYRES.
