Best and cheap arent normally found in the same sentence.

Jetonit I think it was your post where I read you got a fair bit of sound gear from Freeway Car Audio, hence the reason you want cheaper yer? They are expensive, but I dont think you can find the best cheaply, maybe online... Ebay etc...

When I was looking into sound deadening, it wasnt cheap also...

I did some of my boot in FlashTac from bunnings... one roll ($60ish) did a door and this much boot...

Not as thick as car audio sound deadener but it does work well.

yeah I did get some gear from them, and abit from jb hifi also..

I know good stuff isnt cheap, but it freaked me out when I realised sound deadening will cost me close to $300 on it's own.

Thanks for that, I might look into the stuff if I can't source anything else.

Would anyone know where to get the cheapest DYNAMAT from in Melbourne?

#5

Search ebay for Dynamat, its probably one of the best there is and its cheapest to buy on ebay

#6

Dont buy Dynamat, overpriced.

Get its equivalent, called Brown Bread, can be purchased by the roll from Freeway car audio and even Jaycar Electronics.

Get some Focal Plain Chant sound pads to place directly behind the speakers, this has a huge effect. Immediately noticable to even my wife, midrange clarity improved greatly.

Hey mate I called both freeway and jaycar and neither stock brown bread..

Would you have any idea who else might have it?

#8

No Idea then, unless it goes under a different brand name now? I remember buying 2 rolls of the stuff from Freeway after my install was done, and I spotted it in Jaycar also.

Comes in a long post pack type tube.

sorry I cant be of more help.

Note: Brown Bread is no longer available. In it's place we are proud to introduce B-Quiet Ultimate

Audio shops probably got sick of getting orders for 2 dozens loafs and 1/2 dozen rolls..... :spoton:
