Max Rwkw And Torque With Oem Crossover

Featured Replies

As the title says I'm interested to know what RWKW and torque figures are being obtained with the standard ford x-over ????

How restrictive is it??

Should it run 320 RWKW?? Would extra turbo psi be necessary with the standard ford item??

#2

300+ kw is do'able with the stock Xover, but as you have already stated removing the restrictive Xover will allow you to make the same power with less boost.

Say I want 320 RWKW......

How many extra psi would be needed with the stock crossover ??? Extra 2 psi maybe???

I'm guessing.....someone else no doubt will have a better idea....

ok, well I had the stock crossover and made 313 - after a re-tune with RAP1D's piping and around battery intake, I now make 340rwkw on the same boost...

If there is any question as to whether you should replace it - the answer is YES!

It takes alot of strain off all of the engine components, also improves throttle response on and off boost

Thanks Pat,

Yeah looks like I might have to do it........it's a big step for me though 'cus it's the first mod which will be visible.....doh;;;;

It would be nice if someone made a unit that looked just like the OEM but was less restrictive....

there is always kevs from process west, but you can get Chris to make them up black and supply black silicon hoses for a more factory look. Kevs would also mate to your cooler easier I guess

have made 370rwkw with stock crossover just needs more boost less timing, not the ideal solution
