Hi all I have an xr6t 6speed which is stock at the moment and I am booked in at RDP next tuesday for and edit and custom tune I was also thinking of getting some injectors put in at the same time. Was wondering if this was a good option to go??? Or is there some other improvements that might be better to do first

CAI, injectors and IC I reckon are ya best bets.... Valve springs??

Thanks for the replys will have to think about what to do over the next few days. either way I will still be getting the tune done and can not wait. in what way do the newer injectors work do they spray the fuel in differently or just spray a lot more in?

talk to the guys at rdp and tell him what you are looking for and they will tell you the best way to go about it, you may not need injectors if you just want a little boost......... but hey that will only last so long

Mate I had mine tuned at RDP a few weeks back. Stage 1 from them is just a filter, CAI snorkel and a tune (If you want to save cash you can try and pick up your own tuner box off the forum, can usually get them for around $500). Tune was excellent, gave me 330hp at the tyres, which is about 30hp over standard. Power is smooth and a pleasure to drive. Personally, if you want some big power, I would go with your stage 1 tune for the time being, then collect up the bits you need for another round later on. Nominally:

- Cooler (and pipework if you can, UBP, crossover etc or a full kit)

- Injectors

- High flow cat

- Fuel pump

- Clutch if you got a manual

Depending on if you have a BF or a BA that should see you through to well over 300RWKW without too much hassel.

Get injectors (more fuel, so you can run more boost) & a larger cat (more air out the exhaust!) that'll help alot!

mate I think you got more for money than you think ,I think you'

would be lucky to find a stock T with 300 horses at the tires flywheel maybe but average is more like 250-260 rwhp ,so you gained a good 70-80 hp out of your tune

Hmm, mine already had a 2nd CAI and K&n filter when I took it in. Blokes at RDP said it was up on standard to 301hp or something at the tires (which in hindsight sounds like a lot of increase for a snorkel and a filter...). May have been mistaken there but pretty sure that's what they said. Whatever it was, I was bloody happy with the result
