I see it like this mate, were do people get their cars tuned on the dyno yes? Well I think it only fair that we see some results from some back to back dyno runs. The drag strip is a totally different game, one run shut it down and wait for another go, that I am sure would alleviate some of the heat soak yes/no? The bickering (including between sponsors) needs to stop.If a company doesn’t want to contribute then so be it. No need for the public flogging. IF the test goes ahead it will be a fair way off, thus allowing plenty of time for contributors to be finalised.Any more crap and the thread gets locked. By all means continue to discuss the logistics of getting the concept off the ground but keep it civill.

Your experience in automotive performance is not that great it seems, and obviously you have got no race experience . A 1/4 mile pass is far more punishing on the car than any dyno run will ever be . No big race team ever fully tune their cars on the dyno , it is just a guide . 40 degs inlet temps seen on a dyno will most likely equate to well over 80 deg s + on a race track by the end of the 1/4 mile . It is like 4 big dyno runs , one after each other with no break , with a heavliy loaded car , esc if on slick tyres. Just ask any hard core race shop ( likes of C&V , PAC Performance , GAS , CRD etc etc ) and they will back this up , they constantly remind us that they require their systems to be consistant from start to finish . We data log all our 1/4 mile passes . Heat soak at the drag strip has nothing ot do with intercooler efficiency. Due to big heat fluctuations on the 1/4 mile , the dry ice intercooler was invented and now widely used . we will donate our cooler for any test , but after doing this type of comparision testing for years against others , we have always found that either ... it never gets done properly or a sh*t fight starts which ends with punches getting thrown . common guys work it out ..... race each other , not manufacturers race each other . Pull your dyno number and post your results , we will all congratulate you . IN TIME a cooler comparison will happen . Surely you could test the temp and pressure drop coming out as this is what is important right? Obviously the lower the pressure drop and the cooler the air coming out the better as this means more oxygen for burning?..........ahhh farkit this thread sucks.
