Yeah I was going to get a stock XR6 and have that for awhile then give it off to my 2 brothers before I leave for the army and dad was going to chip in to save money and ill get it back from my brothers and ill leave it stock might change the paint to blood orange that's about it.

So I wont be loosing money on the car.

Ill take your advice and save money and avoid spending 2 much on the car.

Ill get the XR6T as soon as I can and have a few $$$ left for mods.

Good luck in the Army and with your choice of car. I was in the same boat 5 years ago. I joined the army straight out of school. Buy a cheap car for now. Once in the Army, settle down after training then you will get some nice $$$ and buy yourself a nice car. No doubt if you are single, you will live on base. which is cheap as! Good luck and I hope you don't join as a grunt.

if you are dead set on getting an NA xr6 ill tell you this a base model XT is just as fast mayby even faster than the na xr6 (depends on gearbox and model BA/BF etc )

yeah but a xr6 looks and handles much better, I was parked next to a xt today and the xr6 looks sh*t hot compared to the xt

Ummm I'm going in as Combat Engineer... then might move around from their maybe helicopters if I can or Officer rifle man over a few years. If that fails I can always take the get rich quick path and work over in the mines in Western Australia.

But yeah officer Combat Engineer is paperwork and that's just not me.

So General Combat Engineer like my grandpa would be awesome I'm not to fussed about pay more just the interesting job. :spoton:

Hey buddie, Its a tought question and I should know. I bought a new XR6 only to sell it 3 months later to buy a Turbo. Im a bit older than you though, but I guess its all about what your priorities are in life, and how long you want to wait for things.

The XR6 is a great looking car, but if your ego gets the better of you, the Turbo will be biting at your heels, due to the ease and cheapness of upgrades that can be done for tonnes of power.

Note: Nothing against your driving skills, but If you do go the turbo option, get an advanced driving course.

Good luck on your decision!!

Yeah I wouldn't mind to do one. I don't really want to end up wrapped around a tree so I was thinking of doing one anyways I thought it would be fun and a good experience to learn some good skills that might one day save my life or smoke some other kid :secret:
