Hey guys,

Just wanting to know how effective the immobiliser is that comes from the factory?

I have had a spiner alarm system fitted, or something along those lines, just curious to know if its worth getting a better immobiliser.

Anyone had their car stolen before? If so, how?

Thank again

I heard that its on the back of a truck or with the keys only... but then again, if someone wants it bad enough, they will get it.

I was under the impression that the only way these cars could be stolen was either on a flat bed truck - which has happened to a couple of forum members - or if they got your keys- which I think has also happened to a couple of forum members..... having said that, if they want it bad enough, good luck to them....they also better pray they don't get caught in the act as I'm sure most of the members here would take some sort of action against would be theives..... :buttrock::beerchug::ARFiring: :biggun:

back in the "E" series when smartlock was first introduced, it won a few awards and was pretty much voted as the most secure immobilisation system out there. im not sure how it would rate these days (and obviously the system has changed and evolved since the e series) but to my knowledge it is still one of the best there is, as others have said these cars get stolen on the back of trucks or if your keys get stolen first, these things are near imposible to "hotwire". :auto: :spoton:

Hard to steal, easy to brake into. Dont leave anything in the car to attract the bastards and you should be ok. Dont forget good insurance
