Why leave one of the top running teams to join a team that is (and always has been) a mid-packer at best? And yes, Caltex have already announced that their pulling the pin after this season, so it would seem that the story is lacking a bit of credibility there. The other strange thing is that Ingall was often speaking out agains the bias shown towards HRT by the rule makers (even when he was still with Perkins). It's what was tipped to have been a deciding factor to go to Ford.Stranger things have happened though and only time will tell. It is all a load of marketing bullsh*t of what is a 1960's ford/gm/holden/chev small block v8 with a sh*t load of limits on them. They don't inspire/interest me at all. Formula one is so much more appealing to me purely for the engineering, and in Aus I think the GTP category is far more interesting than what is essentially a blueprint drivers category.Ingall is over the hill anyway, not that he was anygood in the first place. He only one his single championship due to the crook points system and his team mate putting his energy else where. Ambrose is making a killing (I heard $US800 ytd with some average performances in nascar) in the states so I'm not sure how soon he'll be back. If it doesn't interest you then please feel free to STFU he did win a championship in a Ford thoughOnly by accumulating points under the old system though. Not taking anything away from him as I still consider him a champ, just not too sure if he has it left in him. Shame to see Rusty go, but I think he's almost ready to hang up the helmet anyway. He probably sees it as more of a step towards retirement.
