Identifying Turbo

There would be a code letter/symbol or what ever on the compliance plate to says its a factory fitted turbo.

Yes its easy to put all the turbo gear on an NA car and plenty of poeple are thinking about it... I doupt theres many around... yet

BA Engine Codes are:

H is for 4.0 N/A

Y is for 4.0 TURBO

For the standard turbos dont know why anyone would bother....easier to just buy one unless you have a N/A you're particularly enamoured with....

certain letters on the VIN mean different things just like BA man said. carefull when purchasing

well it aint hard for some one who owns a na xr6 to fitt a turbo conversion is it. and then when the time comes to sell it it will be listed as a xr6 turbo

I think someone on here has already done this and he said it was the biggest sh!tfight of his life, basically. So if its not done by the performance guru's than it will kinda stick out like dogs balls, especially if its a BF with a 4sp auto.
