well, I must say im one happy chappy right about now, just fitted the bov mod (although it was a BITCH of a job) and lovin the sound, no gobble gobble, just a nice whooosh...

Picked up my car yesterday from the dealership, bf mk II xr6t, and the wonderful guys at the factory had decided to fit the clamps that hold the plumb back pipe on the bov and intake with the clips RIGHT AT THE BOTTOM, so off with the crossover, off with the bov, on with the monza filter, and on with the chair leg tip :D:D:D

Yup!!! I think the factory position of the clamps is facing downwards.

Dont worry in no time you would have taken the cross over off and on about 10 times and you'll be able to do it blindfolded soon :)

haha, ooh la la you've gone all fancy on us! ;)

I'd love to run the pod off the turbo, but still trying to keep it relatively factory looking under the bonnet for warranty purposes.

So your cars almost back together now is it? Cant wait to hear it once its all done man.

Are you saying you have only put one chair plug on your BOV? and left the other end open?

nah I did the opposite. I have a chair plug on the CROSSOVER PART of my engine. the BOV is completely exposed. I had a chair plug on that part with a 10mm hole for the flutter but I could hardly hear it so I took it off. I dont care about putting a filter on the BOV coz I dont reallly think its going to suck in a mass amount of air. down the track maybe I will..

I did the chairtip mod but when I blocked the BOV the flutter sound is not noticible at all from the outside of the car. it didnt work for me I dont know why. but when the BOV is completely open I can hear the BOV WHOOSSHHHHH sound pretty loud. why isnt myne fluttering?

hey, when I did this mod the first time mine wasn't fluttering and was making a very loud WHOOSHHH sound with no fluttering, when I looked closely under the bonnet I found out that the pipe which goes from the turbo to the cross section wasn't in properly, just make sure all the pipes are in properly and are tight and it should flutter
