The New Colour 'silk'

just wondering if anyone knows if the new ford colour SILK is lighter or darker than the outgoing MERCURY? it looks almost the same colour.is it?

It looks lighter to me, kind of like a mix of grey and light blue.

Silk is actually a fancy new name for Undercoat/Primer. It is lighter than Mercury Silver, but darker that Lightning Strike. It is also the flatest paint I have seen on a Ford in a looooong time. IMO, Elton John GAY.....

It is metallic, but very fine. You have to look pretty hard to see it. Paint is just flat. I feel like running a guide coat over them to make sure the panels are straight before final coat.

yep it is, is a little bit darker than shockwave but more or less the same
