Q. What is Blackwood.

A. At FO MO CO AUST, 25 minutes before the release of the fairmont, there was 2 full sets of badges sitting still not fitted to the car. the first set was the Blackwood, It was so close that it nearly happened.

But, as ford had purchused the rights to the famous "Ghia" designers name, that was the one that they went with.

My mates older brother who was a design engineer at ford, grabed the full set of black wood badges and gave them to his little brother, who sold them to me for 1/2 a pack of wini reds. I later sold them ( boot, gaurds, interior and wheel badges) in the early 90's for $20 bucks so I could go to a Disco (OMG).
