Tyres - 275/30r19

So the need new rubber for the back, fronts are fine, so will put fron to back and new ones on the front. Not a daily driver but over 300rwkw so cheap n nasties aren't the go.

Recommendations ? $$ ? I'll do the usual ring around tomorrow but just thought I get some opinions.

Top money but a top tyre too.

Dude, unless you've changed the rims, you've got 245's (8.5" rims) on the front and 275's (9.5" rims) on the rear. Surely you're not going to run the 245's on the rear???

Goodyear GSD3's, Pirelli P Zero Nero's, Yokohama V103's and Bridgestone RE050's are all worth a look.

best price so far I have found around the west of sydney for the v103 is $515 for 265/19 anyone in sydney now a better price would love to know where from. the highest so far is $651

Everyone that has driven my car is amazed at how these things stick. Cheap too.

Hankook K107/ S1 EVO 275/30/19 Cost me 340 bucks fitted, and IMHO are streets ahead of V103's.

Nankang if you want cheap but not nasty.

I've tried Nankang, Falken, Khumo, Hankook on the car in question and none lasted over 10,000.

It'll be interesting to see how long the $600+ per corner tyres last.

If your getting more than 10000k's from 19's, then they would probably be hard by that time anyway. 19'' tyres are in 99% of cases, performance branded, hence they have a much smaller working life than Bob Jane alrounders in 165/65/14!

For street use you cannot beat the Factory Dunlop 17's , comfortable, reasonably quiet, they are ok in the dry and wet, last ages and smoke up very well!!

As for 19s, whoever puts Nankangs on their car needs to have a rethink ... a mate of mine had them on his 200SX and a tyre exploded on him. I have never heard of this happening with any tyre since the days of running retreads on my old Cortina ...
