March 3, 200719 yr #12 Here we go again...same old same old, with Ford struggling to win a race.Boring sh1t like always. Won't that new commondore just be the best thing on four wheels now. Won't hear the bloody end of it and Falcon will slip futher down the sales charts.Bring back the racing that has cars we can buy, not these totally removed purpose built racers in look-alike bodies. It proves nothing IMO.That smart ar5e with the big nose shouldn't even be allowed to race. You can bet if a Ford team was in dispute about it's ownership it would be not racing this weekend.Nope, this form of racing has lost me I'm afraid. It's too one-sided and biased towards one brand commonly referred to as Australia's own that now only builds one model here and imports everything else, mostly crap from Korea.
March 3, 200719 yr #13 I for one enjoyed the race,it was an even bigger novelty to NOT have a safety car. 6 FORDS in the top 10 shazzy

March 3, 200719 yr #17 There's still another day of racing.Ford's not out of it yet.Unfortunately V8 supercar is all we've really got.Bring back series production and homologation specials and scrap Pushrod Bumpercars. We'd get a GTHO then.
March 3, 200719 yr #18 Somehow I dont think Ford would win a production series..The SS has it all over the current XR8, the GTS has it all over the GT...Both are quicker, and handle much better. Especially the HSV models.
March 4, 200719 yr #19 Somehow I dont think Ford would win a production series..The SS has it all over the current XR8, the GTS has it all over the GT...Both are quicker, and handle much better. Especially the HSV models.←Which is EXACTLY why we should have this type of racing - then Ford would lift their game instead of dishing up second rate cars like they have done for the last 4 years. As for the V8 series this year I'm afraid I just couldn't be bothered. It should be called the Kelly Family Circus. They seem to own the show. And the main attraction is the puppets - AVESCO and TEGA - totally on strings, MONEY strings pulled by the Kellys.

Too politically incorrect these days to have high HP road cars with lumpy cams etc. It would only need a couple of complaints from some old granny that found the clutch or steering too heavy while trying to negotiate Woolies carpark and they would be sh*tcanned. People these want well mannered cars with all the comforts like p/s, a/c etc, not lumpy, grumpy fuel guzzling bone jarrers. As for the V8 series this year I'm afraid I just couldn't be bothered. It should be called the Kelly Family Circus. They seem to own the show.
