February 27, 200719 yr #41 Nothing like a good wriggle,,Just ask tornado judd about the jelly wrestling on the first NQ cruise
February 27, 200719 yr #42 yeh im still guessing pipework.. I loaded the capa flash a few days ago and first time under boost BANG lol scared the sh*t outa me but the piping had come off the crossover... give it a good check and a wriggle, could look on but just sitting there←$50 later and the computer re-flashed back to factory by ford and I'm still not getting full boost, only about 1-2psi.The pipework has been thoroughly checked about 3 times now. It couldn't be something stupid like a dead cat?
March 31, 200719 yr #44 I would have thought a dead cat would show a more consistant problemOboy the suspense is kill'n me. So what happened? Is it fixed?
April 1, 200719 yr #45 Oboy the suspense is kill'n me. So what happened? Is it fixed? How did you go with this problem? Has it been fixed?XRT330
April 2, 200719 yr #46 How did you go with this problem? Has it been fixed?XRT330The problem is still an issue and we haven't found a fix yet. I'm waiting for the tuner to get the CAPA software so we can custom tune it to remove the problem.I should take it back to ford but it is out of warranty and I don't feel like getting stung by them again.
April 2, 200719 yr #47 The problem is still an issue and we haven't found a fix yet. I'm waiting for the tuner to get the CAPA software so we can custom tune it to remove the problem. How can the tuner be a tuner, without the tuning software ?
May 18, 200719 yr #48 After 3 months and a stack of money later, the problem was a faulty PCM (ECU) unit.....which is gonna cost me another $1300 to fix by Ford.
May 18, 200719 yr #49 is it a physical fault?if so, that should be under warrenty because changing the software cannot cause physical damage!or once you touch it does ford say that they cover nothing no matter how unrelated it is?
May 18, 200719 yr #50 Yes the computer is not physically faulty but the car is now 4.5 years old and out of warranty. The computer wasn't computing the data from the throttle correctly.
