Window Washer Not Working

Wondering if anyone has had this or could point me in the right direction.

When I pull on the the window washer stalk, my widers go, and only after a while does some water spray out of the left hand side jet. It seems the right hand side ( drivers)

is blocked? I have taken off the pipe from the resovoir to check the output

( into a coke bottle) and it seems fine..

And tips on whats happening and how to fix it?

Get a fine pin and stick in the sprayer jets. Might be a bit of crap caught in them

What he said. Either that or drop it down to your local ford dealer and let them take a look for you

I have the same problem in the ute sometimes.

I found that it wasn't anything in the jet though. Sometimes the little filter on the pump gets clogged up with gunk and restricts the flow.

Possibly the one-way valve in the cowl panel is stuffed also

The bottle is in the worst place to check aswell.

If the pin trick does not work, you can undo the pipe from the washer jet and get a hose and put some water backwards through the jet to flush any crap out. I have found that if there is something a little larker than a pin hole, it will not be cleared with the pin trick, but a quick blast of water does the trick.

It will be the filter for the pump in the bottle!!

Yeah the filter gets clogged by algae or some crap, constantly happens with mine, spose I should use cleaner water eh.

Mine did the same some how the line had kinked don't know how because it was behind the guard.

Any one know hoew to get to the water bottle filter thing your talking about, just spent f***n ages taking the air filter out ( dropped spanner down side )

and now its out looks like im going the wrong way?

Straight out of the Manual.

1. Remove the left front wheel

2. Remove the left front stone guard

NOTE: To prevent spilling windshield washer fluid, drain the windshield washer reservoir before

removal.

4. Remove windshield washer reservoir

1. Disconnect the electrical connector.

2. Remove washer cap from reservoir so that washer cap does not become obstructive at windshield washer reservoir removal stage.

3. Disconnect the washer hose from the washer-pump.

4. Remove the two bolts & nut.

5. Lower windshield washer reservoir from vehicle.
