I thought I liked EGO when I first saw it (because it is similar, but darker, than the old Meteorite, a colour which I always liked a lot)- but there is one in the dealers in town here and the other day a Silhouette was parked beside it - wow! Did it make the Ego look crapski or what?!!

My opinion of Ego now is that is just looks like a "dirty" black car - honestly it is just the colour of my car when it's covered in dust and needing a wash. So I'd go for the Mercury - classiest undercoat you'll ever see!

I see that as an advantage with Ego..... you don't have to clean it as often.

Black only really looks good the day you clean it, and really shows the dirt from the next day (I have a black STi)

Ego also scrubs up well, but nowhere near as good as black, and to me it is a "dirty" colour, so never looks obviously dirty (not sure that makes sense ....well I know what I mean).

mmm I agree.... my brother has mercury. One thing to think of is you future plans for the car. If he decides to get aftermarket wheels then this may affect his colour choice.

Hahaha, not ANOTHER colour wars thread!!!

I've got HgAg, love it (but I'm a conservative old bugger who doesn't wanna attract too much attention thankyouverymuch). Previous car was black, loved that too (but, as others have said, 'twas a pain in the behind to keep looking its best).

If I had plenty of time to wash/pamper the car, I'd choose Ego (out of these two options). Based on my current lifestyle, HgAg would be my pick. :spoton:

Sure, plenty of 'em around, but there are plenty of ways to personalise your car without having to go for a colour that will date faster than Paris Hilton.

that's true!

Guys at work have commented that from 5 metres the car looks clean but when you get up to it, it's dirty as a mutha!

Ford washed it for me yesterday, so it looks a million bucks!

Brian, you gotta love how it looks in the sun!!! :spoton:
