[F6 UTE]

When we had the Tremec guys here from the US and Mexico about 18 months ago I was showing them how my ute launches, 300 rwkw and on the limiter and just dumping the clutch. Lots of tyre smoke and sideways action and I have still got the same clutch in it. These are a great clutch for most applications and give great driveability. Mal

Dumping and turning to tyre smoke is indicative of the tyres lack of grip, and is easier on the clutch.

Launching as I do, and having the tyres stick, is another ball game.

My clutch also holds on from a 3rd gear 5000 rpm dump very well..

long time looker first time post. ive owned my T for just over 12 months and its stock but in the last 3 months ive been through 2 clutches. now ive got a xtreme soft button clutch with a ceramic pressure plate and billet flywheel and lovein it . talk bout giving ya the I spent $4600 to get ford to fit a standad clutch and bits and I spent $2600 for another mob to fit the same.

F6, Your clutch is a glowing testamant to what the new and improved F6 clutch can cope with. I would have one in heart beat, butwhilst I have not done the research, I would imagine for the cost of purchasing an F6 clutch from Ford and then paying to have it fitted, it would be easier for me to drive tio Mal Wood and get one of his jobbies.

The option six is a 9.5" carbon twin, as used in the capa drift ute, and a lot of high hp cars. This is our toughest clutch at this time, and retails for $2650inc gst . The clutch is actually part of the flywheel, and comes complete inc ring gear. It is unlikely that an F6 clutch can be toughened to this level, via any means. Our option 5 is a 10.5" organic twin, and comes complete with a 4340 grade billet flywheel, ring gear and complete clutch assy. This will EASILY match an F6 clutch. Cost is $1990 inc gst, retail. Our option four is an 11" cera-metallic single, and also has great capacity. (I do not recall pricing for it, but it lies between the op3 and op5.) Seeing as you thought the F6 unit was $3500, and others have given a figure of approx $2700, then your above statement was posssibly in haste. No worries though, apology accepted. Ben.

I was under the assumption that your option 6 was the only twin plate you guys offered, and didnt not inc a flywheel at that price, I stand corrected. Didnt even know what your option 5 was ect and that it was also under 2k inc flywheel ect, well priced I must say for the extra $490 I cant see a reason why people wouldnt opt for this over the option 3.

Your damn right Fat Tony. If Mal had told me that there was an option 5 twin disc i would have have jumped at it rather than the single plate option 4 that i have now.....
