Force 6 Vs Force 8 Vs Senator

Wheels did a comparo with the new VE senator. Force 6 was as quick and darn near handled as well. Senator only just won comparo which would be a slap in the face for HSV IMO. I love the new VE's but I certainly am already stoked by how how well my still stock F6 goes and handles. Wheels say the ZF box is much better than the new GM 6spd auto too.

Force 8 was a big disapointment but I expected that. Unfortunately Force 6 had some issue and didn't finish the test, but strangely had the worst fuel economy.

What's the difference in price between a VE senator and a Force 6?

#6

About 2k..

the question you should ask though is Why is there a 10k difference between a Typhoon and a Force6 and only 250 dollars difference between a GT and a Force8....

Who cares about price difference between Force 6 and typhoon? I'd take the phoon any day of the week and save the $10000.

The test actually says it's a tie between Force 6 and Senator. Then goes onto imply that because of the hype and money gone into the VE's, the Force is all the more impressive for it. They also say that given the results of this test, the cars are no real match for the Euros that Expensive Daewoo says they're targeting.

They say the Expensive Daewoo is better equipped, but the Force 6 has a better ride (making some note that they didn't feel the HSVs suspension system wasn't working properly).

I was surprised by the result, but as the article says, the F6 is a much better buy.

Last month Wheels stated they would take the VE Calais V over the Merc or BMW even if they could afford them. This month they say the Senator isn't a match!

I'm not surprised the F6 rode better as it's Monroes are like big marshmallows and will be among the first things to go. If the $76K Senator can't out handle the Force 6 that's a disgrace as my el cheapo VT with simple suspension work, leaves my stock F6 for dead. I'd be interested to see how the R8 goes as it seems the MRC shocks aren't as good as they are making out and certainly not worth the $6K+. Again that's why I'd never by a first gen model. VE II or VF will be a much better car IMO.

Sure, but since the Force6 is essentially the same car, the +$10k cost simply doesn't wash.
