Cabin Air Filters

So both filters essentially do the same thing, but the carbon one also takes care of exhaust gases?

Seems like a good idea.

the basic ryco filter would just be for dust and particles whereas the carbon one gets interior/exterior fumes & gases + the other stuff.

Thanks. Looks like a great option then - I'll order one tomorrow.

Picked it up this morning, works a treat.

It came with the flap cover (or whatever you call it) but it’s not a perfect fit like the genuine one - it still does the job just a bit fiddly to get it in position.

At least I can now leave the climate control on auto and not dive for the recirculate and fan speed buttons every time I get stuck behind and old clapped out diesel bus! (for a lazy bastard like me that’s a huge inconvenience )

Just make sure the clowns get the right one in, RCA100C for the carbon one. :spoton:

The pollen filter goers in the glove box?! Well, I'll be damned. Could someone please explain exactly where (I'll have a look tonight when I get home)?

And you reckon this carbon activated filter is better than the pollen one from Ford? By a long shot?  :spoton:

Might have to look into this as my wife is forever complaining about exhaust fumes, and we don't even have a pollen filter.

If she so concerned about exhaust fumes tell her to stop feeding you bean and boiled cabbage...?:sick:

good stuff tab, the base model Ryco filter, is it just sh*tty paper or is it kinda woolen/fibrous like the stock engine air filters type material??

Didn't get a real good look at it (wasn't real impressed at the time) - but it's more on the paper side than the wooly side if that makes any sense :spoton:

The carbon one is probably just a bit of grey paper that they whack an extra $30 on for suckers like me to buy.

Double checked with Bosch - talked to the product manager of filters....apparently they are a while away from offering them in Australia. Gotta get all sorts of approvals and so on.
