Guest Guests Posted 10/10/06 12:33 AM Share Posted 10/10/06 12:33 AM I wouldn't even think of buying one, I have to do a traffic offender program and last night the copper running it said that there car's are always in accidents. The smash repair near work always has them in there to, atleast 1 a week. Although their work is seccond to none some of the cars go in looking like write off's. Only down side is when doing say 300 random breath tests the cars have to be running in order to keep the lights going. I'm not a fan of cars sitting and idling for ages.I know a cirtain highway officer in the shire who at the start of every shift washes and gives the car a once over.Police cars are also serviced every 10k due to their usageRob ←They all get a major mechanical sevice and check over if they have been involved in a high speed chase. This includeds brake pads/rotors if required Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/29156-would-you-consider/page/2/#findComment-446794 Share on other sites

Give it a couple more year's when XR6 Turbo's are the next big thing, and these ex Police units will be the choice for many a youngster coming off his P plate's. As for the holes, I think you'll find a lot of them use special clip in brackets now. They're a bargain, I can't see what'd be wrong with one. A stock XR6T regularly caned and regularly serviced sure as hell isn't going to be any more worn out than a 280rwkw edit + injector T similarly driven. And many of them are similarly or even more vigorously driven!
