Got told the delivery date for my baby today. August 28!!!

I know some people have had to wait a length of time, but this is nearly 4 months, and quite unreasonable in this day and age. I can guarantee the dealer has pushed me to the back of the pile, as it is a lease vehicle. I also think Ford is trying to choke the market and ensure demand well and truly outstrips supply......Very annoyed but hey, what can I do?

I agree with you mate, even though there is quite a back log I think it's a good idea to ring around and find the best place. In the end it may be worth it and might save a couple of weeks or even months.

Ordered my fleet vehicle Dec 20 last year. Pick it up on Friday (I hope...).

I can also guarantee you've been pushed to the end of the queue. As far as your delivery time, sorry to say but it sounds about right. Aug 28? What are the odds that becomes September.....?

Last week I was told October, and possibly September, so I think you'd be optimistic to expect it in August.

Give a few local dealers a call - I believe they are all allocated a certain amount of cars from each build + the ones they order for people, and if there isnt one you want "as is" on this list, get them to mix and match with the options on other models they are scheduled to have... I was lucky, I did this and got my car in six weeks. I went to 2 car yards in Canberra and one delivery date was 4 months the other was 2 months and they both competed against each other in price.....Just ask - no harm done - Good luck to try to hurry deliv!!! they are awesome......

I've a leased car and delivery time was around 10 weeks (early Feb --> mid April) - that was prioritised so I can't understand why you are pushed to the back of the queue ?

I thought Ford accelerated leased cars to keep the elase companies on side and it was the poor mugs who pay retail (j/k) who got pushed back ?

Ordered mine on November 26th last year, and I wanted it on March 20. In the end I picked it up early April.

I ordered mine 24/02/03 and on my contract it states a delivery date of 30/05/03. Last week contacted FORD direct and was told my car will be built some time in June(could not specify date). As I live in WA I am thinking delivery will be end of June early July.....but who knows...?
