Didnt take long for someone to make a wise crack. :spoton: Show some respect guys or shut up

It wouldn't be Australia if we didn't take the piss out of the man shortly after his passing. I'm sure even Steve would agree.

reckon Zap has got a point.

the only way a ray gets ya if is you're closer than you should be, and lets face it, that what made such good entertainment, Steve getting closer than he should to all variety of beasties. Didin't agree with his love the croc no matter what, I know a guy who got eaten, but I suppose he'd gotten closer than he should have too........

11/10 for his enthusiasim and showcasing "Stralia" to the rest of the world. It's a real pitty.

A sad day indeed..

I still cant believe hes gone.. You dont know how lucky you are to have these people around until they are gone.

1 thing I wanted to do was go and see him in person.. That will never eventuate.

A great loss for his family, friends and Australia..

Earlier this year we made our first visit to Australia Zoo. We had been there many years ago when it was simply the Reptile Park.

On the last visit we were fortunate enough to have Steve present the show in the "Crocaseum" which is a fantastic multi-million $ stadium.

As a fair dinkum Aussie, I loved him.

At work in the stadium with Crocs, Tigers, huge Pythons etc etc he was nothing but a natural.

Wore his heart on his sleeve and only had the good of all around him, human and animal, at heart.

A true blue bloke who will be sadly missed.

Me too have not been to the zoo, and its 40 mins down the road.

But pleased to say my kids have met and interacted with him on an excursion, they were buzzing for days
