My money I'd hate say it is on $1000 worth (installed) of new Crow 95lbs valve springs. I've got the exact same car. BA mk2 05 T56, and about a week or so after I got its first tune done the valve springs went soft and it would miss and flutter when gunned it past 3750-4000 rpm. Got new valve springs installed never had the problem again.

But definitely try plug gapping and genuine coils first just to eliminate them.

After that clean ya throttle body and boost controller. Should clean up the average idle at the lights.

Again another thing my car did in the early days.

Update, super cheap sold me the wrong part number spark plug, went back to sort it out, and they gave me the correct ones with a .8mm gap size, which went cheap haha, put them in this arvo and it solved the missing problem! Car goes like a dream.

I still want to put genuine coils on it soon, get rid of the cheap ones and yes I am keen on uprgading the spings but I’m unsure of which ones to go with though, like will I need to buy retainers as well?

just bought a process west stage 2.2 intercooler kit which comes with thottle body relocation and under battery intake so next thing is springs then tune:dancing:

Good work JC,  go for Crow 95 lbs or 105 lbs valve springs. Crow make really good products all round, so you wont have a problem with them.

Get a mechanic who knows these cars to supply and install the lot.

Then get a new high flow fuel pump and cat section plus a new 8 or 12 psi actuator and a set of 1050 ID injectors and then a final tune and you'll safely max out the limits of the ba internals.

T56 will be upto the task so nothing to worry about there, just a new clutch if it's a bit worn.

Have fun fella..

Thanks k31th for the advise, would still be stuck if it wasn’t for this forum! :thumbs-up:

ok I was looking at the atomic heavy duty springs I think they are 80lb for only $360 and Yu can use standard retainers or the atomic ones.

I was trying to post photos but can’t figure out how to do it hahah :mda:

Ok awsome well I’ll Have a look around for the right person to do the job!

What fuel pump would be a good drop in replacement box stock T? That is another thing on the list but don’t know which way to go. After I do all this I want to run at least 500rwhp would be nice, just need a new CSC for the clutch though.
