September 3, 200620 yr #11 That's for HSV sure, but the Bogan special doesn't cost anywhere near that, and aint much slower.Sorry, 'apparently'...meh
September 3, 200620 yr #12 That's for HSV sure, but the Bogan special doesn't cost anywhere near that, and aint much slower.Sorry, 'apparently'...meh←In 'stock' form maybe, but the HSV 6L can support a hell of a lot more with stock components. It's got bigger, better heads, cam, fuel delivery etc It's been very held back and that does not bode well for us at all Lumpy

September 3, 200620 yr #15 HSV also claimed some quick figures for the 'Z' series, which never eventuated at the drag strip.I think the F6 auto and 307kw GTS should be as quick as eachother.
September 3, 200620 yr #16 Is it true that the quoted power figure isn't a sabilised maximum? Ie... is the power curve "spiked" at 307 or is it consistent like its supposed to be?
September 3, 200620 yr #17 I'm not sure but isn't it now that Expensive Daewoo use DIN figures the power hasn't really increased that much over the Z series?

Ie... is the power curve "spiked" at 307 or is it consistent like its supposed to be?←Yeah, I thought that for ECE measurements, power/torque had to be maintained for one minute. For DIN it doesn't, and spikes are accepted as a max, as long as they're repeatable.I'm not sure but isn't it now that Expensive Daewoo use DIN figures the power hasn't really increased that much over the Z series?←It was written somewhere that the old VZ 297kw = 305kw (DIN). Converting the old Nm figure to DIN, gave an increase of 5Nm for the VE HSV over the VZ.I mean, it's still an LS2. Convert the VZ figures into DIN, and the VE HSV sports +2kw, and 5nm. But hey, we're still talking quoted power etc etc, reality can be somewhat different. Also given the different standards, direct comparisions are still difficult.

Maybe they only use that for torque? Lumpy
September 3, 200620 yr #20 not sure about the above.. but Expensive Daewoo claims 12.8 quater mile for the hsv's.←where do they claim this? on drive it said 13.23 manual, 13.18 auto claimed?←That's what I've read as well. Here's a link to the article.
