Hey guy's and girls I was just wondering if you can use your EXED(CHIP TORQUE)

with a CAPA edit, because I have heared that you can use the exed to run your boost so you can have a high/low switch and then use the edit for every thing else.

But if this is the case what happen's when you use different programes on the edit, dose this mean your boost will be the same on every programe?

If so there's not much point in having different program's in the edit aprat from air/fuel ratio's and tranny shifts etc. but the whole point with the different programes on the edit is to run different boost levels and such isnt it?

Any help would be great because im stuck on what to do, because the idea of high/low swicth is pretty tempting.

You can do it, many have had good results. When I done it all was good untill I the ecu desides to use it learning function then it was running rich as.

Live tunning was it's biggest advantage. But it doesn't beat a good Edit tune.

I use both. Great for uploading a tune on the go, is quicker than flashing, and unlimmited tunes . Live tuning is an added bonus..

I can have 5 maps all roughly the same, but taylored for conditions, like rain etc, or the missus going round the corner.

A good edit tune as a base is a must though imo..

The only thing my Xede controlled on my 11 sec run was boost. Wog did everything with edit, and he used Xede for boost only. I however have made some maps of my own with different boost levels, timing etc..

If you change something, like exhaust a quick tweak of the fuel, timing, or boost is only 2 mins away.

What are these learn functions you guys are talking about? Are you talking about LTFT and STFT?

Doesn't use both still as well?

So its a good idea to use both then, but like I was saying if you use the exed to use just on boost how dose it effect the edit programes do they all run the same boost?
