As the title say ive been mucking around with the factory Bosch BOV and try few

different things with it and I found that taking the whole BOV off and all outlet's block up including the vacumm line outlet the car seem to respone better and sounds Better now. In saying that iam doing much harm to the engine or should it be ok as some people I have spoken to say its shouldnt be a problem and other say its bad and im not sure if im causing any problems as the car seem's to go little better harder.

You won't damage the engine, but you will be putting more stress on your turbo, especially if you car is a manual, as there will be a pressure spike each time you close the throttle.

This is less so in the auto, but still will sound like a rattle snake each time you get off the throttle.

Sensation of more response is probably due to the changed sound, as the factory BOV allows the turbo to spool a bit quicker, and it remains open until there is positive pressure, ensuring minimal back pressure for the turbo to spool up against while building boost.

Yeh what he said, its amazing how you think a car is going better but the sound of it all gives that impression. Dont think you will find that there will be a huge difference in how quick your car is as its an auto in anycase

Carlos...

You want your car to go harder and sound better? Get an edit and be done with it, currently I bet you think it sounds like a vacumn cleaner when under load... after an edit and an up in boost you will find that it sounds completely different and more importantly... goes SO much harder... remember it's not a VL turbo and as such it won't make the ssshhh... tut tut tut like the VL's do.

I for one wouldn't be messing around with the stuff that you are, Ford put it there on a stock engine for a reason, the risk vs reward is very poor... meaning you will probably blow something up, while your car is also actually slower...

Jack

Jack, the fella that tunes your car, has not fitted a BOV to any of his stage 2 kits, unless requested by the customer. He doesn't see a need for them.

My question to you is, what will he blow up or damage?? I for 1 do not mind the sound of my car when it's running sans BOV. Yes it sounds fully ULEH REH, but I like it.
