This topic was not started for any incitement or to target one side over another, nor was it created for anyone to perpetuate any offensive comments and to this point I dont believe anyone has, although this topic does have such potential.

This I completely agree with, but can we really expect them to not have a winge about being bombed off the planet. Besides its too late, they have already had a few in Sydney with many more to come.

I thought I would give my opinion as I’m of a Lebanese Christian heritage. I have many family members in Lebanon. I do not support Hezbollah or what they have done. My family are from the Christian area and about 2 hours from the capital so they are not in direct danger.

What Israel has done to Lebanon for the last 30 years is nothing short of criminal. The Lebanese Govt is powerless to control Hezbollah as it is heavily armed and backed by Syria and Iran. Instead of attacking the Lebanese peoples core infrastructure they should be concentrating on the South, Syria and Iran as they are the instigators, all that is happening is Lebanon becomes the poor country that hosts the WAR for these other 3 countries to attack each other.

I just hope that too many innocent lives are not lost.

Good to see we have some insider knowledge on this issue.

But isnt this were the lnstigators of this mess blame the other side for it all and absolutely fail to take repsonsibility for there actions. Lets project the blame and cause of this mess on other countries because its easier than to say we did the wrong thing.

Lebanon is an unoccupied and self-governed country responsible for the actions of its people. Well and truely time it stopped blaming the rest of the world for its own internal problems and agression towards its neigbours.

Its indisputable who started this latest conflict, and now Lebanon is paying very dearly for taking advantage of Isreal in a such reprehensible manner.

And as always, just my 2 and half cents.

I belong to another forum for my other car and it is mainly patronised by Yanks.

They have been having exactly the same debate ie; Israel vs Lebanon. The other forum's demographic maybe be slightly older and conservative but their arguments are arrogant, punitive and infantile.

It is a pleasure to read most of the comments expressed here by forum members, it makes me realise how open and honest we are in Australia.

Please keep up the good work.

I liked my Dad's solution -

Change the law: marriage must be between people of either a different colour, creed or nationality - give it a couple of generations and everyone should be to confused to know who they're supposed to hate..
