We are capable of such good, honourable deeds, but seem to want to go out of our way to not do them...Jack ←because there are some member of the human race who havent yet grown up from when they were 10 years old. Immature fighting and bickering should be left for the school yard, not the real world

16/07/06 02:49 AM16/07/06 02:49 AM #27 Lets not forget the 6 day war...Old Moshe Dayan was a military genius. His one mistake was to take the gaza strip, when Levi Eshkol told him not to.He also failed to implement an 'out claus' after the conflict. And here we are today. The failure to have an out claus in place has left the region in unrest that will never be resolved. (Not until one wipes the other out all together, anyway)

(not a shot at you Lumpy, as you know I value your point of view...)Jack ←I know mate. Please nobody get me wrong, I have the upmost respect for anyone prepared to go to war and fight, the courage that posseses a man to do such thing will probably never find it's way in side me.I am disgusted by the power brokers and the decision makers, the generals who never see a battlefield but can send a million men to their death for nothing more than a line on a map. They are the true criminals.I am not anti-war, I am Anti-Death. I see no purpose to murder not only a man but his family solely because he reads from a different book and worships a differnt deity (in name only) than you do.*Edit: The 'you' in that post is a generalisation, rather than any one in particular.Brendan
