November 9, 201015 yr #2814 page 15 newy herald , council still to have a meeting tonight to decide whether or not to adopt an officers recommendation not to run the event.Sounds like you guys have one officer up your way with a real problem with letting any thing to do with cars happen."Sergeant Darren Waters told a council meeting that the city already had a hoodlum driving element and this would only exacerbate the problem"Let's hope the organisers have this covered.
November 9, 201015 yr #2815 if you dont give people the chance to do it off the street of course it will happen on the street
November 9, 201015 yr #2816 Fully agree mate , Very narrow minded to believe people will just stop modding cars because this guy doesn't like it.
November 9, 201015 yr #2817 I'm all for a strong police presence to keep people in line (defect traps outside these venues or wsid is another story though - but that's a rant for another day) coming and going to the venue. That way the community stays safe, we all bring our cash and support local businesses and everyone wins.
November 9, 201015 yr #2818 I doubt after this event that it will be run again, to much commotion going on .
November 10, 201015 yr #2819 hopefully some of the locals will see the benefit of extra cash in the region and argue for it. It's kinda like making a new race track - lots of people agree its needed but no one wants it in their area.
