Well, while I didn't get anywhere near the time I was hoping for, I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed myself last night. First time ever down the strip, I found it extremely addictive. I had 5 runs as follows:

et mph 60ft

13.854 106.98 2.406 auto

13.97 103.25 2.159 supposed to be auto, accidentally left in manual, lol.

13.301 108.79 2.192 manual

13.273 105.67 2.156 manual

13.15 106.72 2.141 manual

It would appear my car isn't as powerful as my tuner has stated, or something else drastically wrong. I could improve my 60ft a bit, but the mph just wasn't there. Heaps of good fun though.

Was good to catch up with the regular boxheads, and also meet some new faces aswell. Thanks again Jim for organising the private lane(s) and well done on you 12.9 K&N equipped Foon. :spoton:

Hey Guys... it was good to catch up with a lot of you last night.

Great atmosphere and I was happy to survive without breaking anything although the auto is on its last legs!

For the record (with a 300 rwkw tune) I ran:

1st run: 12.5 @ 111mph

2nd run: 12.4 @ 112 mph

3rd run: 12.3 @ 112mph .... Geea?

Can't wait for the next one ... I will get Jim@tunehouse to wind it up to what the standard pump will do and hopefully join the 11s club.

See you guys out there next time ...

Ok I'm here. :spoton:

With 112mph I'd think you have closer to 260rwkw's. 12.3 @112 is a good time for that MPH. What was the 60' and what tyres were you using? 300rwkw's should be running around 120mph.

Hey Geea ... my best 60' was a 1.99. The auto would just not accelerate past the 112 mph mark. Had to short shift into 3rd too ... auto is f$%ked.

I run the standard 17" factory Dunlops ...

It sounds like a lack of power more than the auto. 1.99 is a good 60'.

It's possible that your tune has lots down low and runs out of puff up top. I'd say your power is dropping off badly after 4500rpm. Can you post up a dyno sheet.

I don't think it's helpful to make definate statements like that.

Driver skill has a lot to do with the time as well as car setup and track settings.
