How do you sydney siders place your E-tags if you have one? I'm wondering if its better to just keep it in the glove box and take it out whenever needed, or if there is a place where it won't ruin the look of my car?

Can't you put it under the dash? They are just a transciever aren't they? The Melbourne ones worked out of sight.

At the very top behind mirror

They dont work very well out of sight trust me I know that for a fact

Yep, got mine in the same spot, between the mirror stalk and the roof line.

Can hardly see it.

Mine is directly behind the mirror with double sided velcro tape.

This is so I can take it for renta cars

You must put it against the glass or it is not picked up by the toll stations.

I hold it up with my hand as required, against the glass.

I have also found that on some of the newer toll roads with overhead toll gates (M7 etc), the tag works if I hold it down on the dash (if you picture an imaginery X-Y axis, I hold it in roughly the same position on the X-axis, but down on the Y-axis).

Same here... Dont like the look of it at all being stuck to the glass of any of the cars.

As others have already said, between the rearview mirror and the roof lining.

There is actually a tinted section there, so it is virtually unseen from the exterior.

Check it out
