126 seems fairly feasable in a 110kmh zone. I frequently travel @ 120 in a 110, and have been pinged whilst tickling over ( pre- detector days ) at around the 125kmh mark..

cop it sweet I reckon..

Get a detector!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

F6 UTE, it's not feasible when I sit on 115 km/h by my speedo which I have clocked at 110 using a GPS. The CC on the XR is pretty reliable and I haven't known it to drift by 15km/h.

Why should I cop it sweet if I wasn't speeding? Because the cops say I was?

Lightning....

I do not know the WA regs, but I would do the following:

Get the photo and make sure it is your car and that it is the only car in the pic.

Elect to take it to court, no matter what is in the pic

Request: Service history and logbook of the actual Multinova, the details and certification of the operator of the device, the exact location of the device, the method and time of calibration of the device on the day of the offence.

If you ask for EVERYTHING in writing, it is very likely that the police/government will not be able to get you everything before your court date.  Turn up to the court and tell the Magistrate that you pleade not guilty, and that you have not received evidence from the police to enable you to mount a propper defence.  Make a complaint that they have had enough time to provide the info and he/she may dismiss the case.

It is worth a try, as you should get off and it is interesting to see how our courts work.

They would be more inclined to just re issue the ticket, I tried that where they got my name wrong, the colour of my car wrong, and it was described as a sedan when it was infact a hatch, all they did was write another ticket and told me to pay it.

Dazza.

Try writing a letter fist pleading your innocence, 99.9% of the time it will be ignored, but you never know your luck... for all we know, that camera was as faulty as *beep* and 100 other people have complained as well.....

A guy I work with got a revenue camera fine for his car one day, but it was at a strange time on a road he does not normaly use.

He looked back through his diary and noticed that his wife drove it that day so he asked her about it, and she said she was at work all day.

He called the revenue folk and exlained it all to them and they looked up the photo on the system, it was a pic of a green station wagon, and his car is a red hatchback!!!!

They said oh well the rego recognition s/w must have had issues with it and revoked the fine....... hardly a robust system for proving guilt eh? :fish:

We had a 15Ton excavator that was registered for use on road jobs and the plates were stolen from it one night.

Several months later we received a speeding fine for doing like 130kmh in a 60kmh zone. (one fast Excavator) :fish::msm:

I took the rego papers into the Police station and asked to see the photo and it was a white Late model camira sedan with the stolen plates. I then asked the coppers how the hell they could mistake a white Late model camira sedan with 15 ton excavator???

Needles to say they tore it up!!!

My point is the system is not very bullet proof and as such your first move would be to drop in (or get someone else) and take a look at the photo….. Then panic if it is you!!!

Even if it’s a company Vehicle the laws have changed in recent times in WA, so there are minimal loopholes to get out of nowadays.

One that is still an option that many are unaware of is to take it to court and don’t pay it through the mail.

The disadvantage of this is it will cost you more by going to court but the advantage is the court has the power to issue the fine but you wont lose any demerit points.

Another way is to refuse to disclose the driver which will end you up in court as well and you will be fined $600.00 for failing to disclose the driver but again no points.

This method is not so easy if it’s a private vehicle or they have a picture of you that you have accepted as speeding prior and you have signed.

This is why the Coffin Cheater all register their bikes to the Club house and not the individual…. They don’t pay a single fine unless they are caught in the act physically by the police.

They say simply the bike is registered to the Club and anyone of 500 members could be riding it so its then upto the cops to prove who and that is not possible.

Good luck!

I wouldnt trust these f'n kodak cop greed camera mofos to take a pic of the sky let alone of recognizing number plates on a car travelling past at an angle etc... ive had plenty flash at me when im under the limit by at least 10kph, but the fine hasnt arrived.. woudlnt surprise me if it just takes random photos of random cars and gives them a random speed, all designed to reach a quota

the multanova has to be the greatest piece of revenue raising equipment that has the least beneficial and least effect on behavioural modification on speeding drivers on the planet, yet more and more appear on the roads every year due to the main benefit of funding pollies f'n limos and 100k gala lunches etc

I'm with u dude...

In NSW Speed cameras do the job they are intended to do... slow people down in dangerous areas. They are located in spots just before a high fatality area and they are signposted for kms beforehand so you know to slow right down to the safe maneuvering speed for that part of the road. If you get caught you are either asleep at the wheel or a bloody idiot.

Compare this in WA where speed cameras are placed on straight roads often 2 lanes wide, in the bushes, pointing at the front of your vehicle, BLACK with no warning signs at all. The only way u know you have driven through one is AFTER you drive through it and you see either the camera itself, the flash or the tiny yellow sign placed 400m up the road saying "Thankyou for not speeding"

How does THAT save lives?!?!?!!?!?!$#*&^$*&(@#^(@$
