But thanks, you have answered my question....I didn't realise there was so much re-work/re-code required to make those products work for our Falcons.

Can you clarify what is currently available re: datalogging, and how it might fit in with this package? Will this support an analogue input so it can log data from a wbo2 controller? I would expect this is key to being able to make use of any Home Tuner package properly...

Is there any reason not to expect to be able to modify all scalars, tables, and functions in this home tuner package?

It would be great to be able to compare two different calibrations, or at least compare the current calibration to the stock calibration. That would help the user keep track of what they have changed.

Would it be possible to attach notes/commentary to a calibration? It would make it easier for a user to remember what they where trying to achieve in different parts of the calibration.

if the aussie ford and american fords run the same computer why would the software be any different? Logically the same software should do everything on any car running the ford computer. And why can't we have the xcal 2 yet? it does the same thing as the flash 1 tuner, but with even more options to use. It also makes it a hell of a lot easier for the home tuner. Maybe that's why we don't have it in australia as it will kill business for tuners like you, being a small market already. I don't want to cut anyones lunch, but I really want to tune my own car, as I wont even let the dealer touch my car. It has never had a dealer or workshop service ever and it never will. I do service it myself thou.

Aus Ford run Euro CAN Protocol, not Ford US ( ISO?? ) protocol

They will be running CAN soon, and there s/ware will be easier to adapt in future.

For that matter, How many XR6T engines are there anywhere, other than in Australia!

What we want is a tuning package which operates properly for the XR6T, and that only comes about when someone sits down and nuts out the software to interpret the CAN communication codes for all the specific sensors on the XR6T.

The job would be quicker if the info was freely available from FORD Australia, but I'd imagine what's necessary, is someone dedicating a fair amount of time to "cracking" all the info required using CANbus capture package, in conjunction with the FORD ScanTool.

It takes time, and dedication.

The Holdens run similar donks as the huge US market, so simply based on volume sales, don't expect a dedicated Australian FORD product to be as cost effective or as good as the GM unit.

But then again, Tuna is a whiz, and maybe he'll surprise us with an even better version.

We can ony live in hope.....
