For those of us in Mexico here is a list of demerit point attracting offences, includes all alcohol, speeding, traffic and illicit drugs offences.

For those of you in NSW here is your list of demerit points, offences and what applies on double demerit weekends...

Hope this helps...

Jack :crybaby:

Edit- Remember these demerit points also don't include any criminal charges you may also face from the arresting police... driving in a manner dangerous, careless driving usually go along with any BAC (blood alcohol concentrate) offences and all the higher speeding offences...

dont forget  40kph over = 6 points, $350!!

In QLD 44kmh over =$700 fine,8 points and 6 month suspension.Add on another 3 months if you dont have enough points to cover the eight.

If you cop the extra 3 months as well you get the option to sit on 1 point for a year or the 3 months penalty.

Take the 3 month penalty and serve it with your 6 month suspension and get all your points back after.

So in fact your better off losing all your points cause if you didnt, you would be stuck with 4 points for 3 years.

Lets just say I know someone that it happend too. :pinch:

Question regardin NSW points, how long is it before you get your points back? (for say a 3point demerit for speed) Is is a time like 6mth from the offence or when your license is renewed, or a clean period or a year?

Rob...

That is correct Rob. Anything over 25 amd you are off the road. 26-35 kms over = 1 month loss, 36-45 kms over = 3 months loss.

Driving at night without headlights and tail lights on = 1 demerit point

OH MY GOD!!!! :fool:

If you live in western melbourne this is not an option you would be taken out or take yourself out on a fence...

I would have though something silly like that warrants higher.

We are so lucky anything over 45kmh is considered in the same way, 200 here I come

Over Xmas in NSW if you and a passenger had no seatbelt on, bing licence gone ..... (12 points)

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

The thing I'd like to know is what if you are wearing your seatbelt, but had 2 passangers who wanted to be bastards so they take their seatbeats off at RBT's etc... Would you still lose your license???
