not that easy have you seen where it plugs in and I would have to change the injectors to get it in there(this may be a option that I have thought of doing)

I reckon someone there in charge at that dealership has a pole up their a$$ and only looking at his own Key Rating Accountabilities in his job review with his one-up who has told him to be like an assembly line and churn thru the easy standard maintenance checkups which are the ones that bring in the quick buck$ for little stressful effort.

I suggest write a letter (not an email as a letter is legally binding - post or fax it) complaining about the service department to the dealership principle citing that you've already purchased two XR6Ts (top $ items) from him and that your 3rd will go somewhere else if his service department don't help out.  Then seriously consider going to another dealership for your next purchase (make sure you post them the purchase reciept afterwards if you still feel bad about them  ).

I hate this kind of mentality. I know it works but going straight to the top undermines everyones decisions before hand and if you get your way (which would probably happen if done this way) you know it would be because you decided to put them up against the wall, not because you were right.

The world is going to hell because of this kind of thinking...

I agree with you on this one MRDOHC, although if you cause too much trouble they may tell you where to go & flag it in the Ford system. It'd be funny if you travelled down that path & the next dealer said the same thing, that'd really stuuf the scenario up!

You can unplug it at the actual chip itself fairly easily can't you.

They don't need to start the car to flash it so I would drive there, unplug the unichip, flash it up, plug the unichip back in and start the car and away you go.

Just take it to another dealer and see what happens, I dont see how reflashing a comp, can hurt it uless your unichip has a virus, these dealers need to do some computer courses, and you when you do get a problem it might be a warranty item, which is caused by the manufacter of the vehicle not the mod, that's what all dealers have to check, but the are too lazy, and say sorry modded car no warranty.

Yes it can be done and yes you have to get the unichip retuned to suit the new base calibrations.

Mystery solved….. The problem was caused when the Walbro fuel pump was fitted and they (not fords) used a piece of hose that was not petrol resistant and it has split and caused a loss of fuel pressure. This problem should have been easy enough to diagnose if only they had of taken the time to have a look at it, instead of coming down hard on me because of my mods.

True but since when is it's ford's job to diagnose faults in mods you have had fitted to the car.
