Howdy

Finally got round to removing the centre muffler today and replacing it with pipe, and also replaced the oval tip with two round tips. Looks great and sounds bloody great too. I know a lot of the guys on this forum have had it done but I didnt expect the car to sound this good!!! Goes to show how much that centre muffler does. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap mod. Total cost $150 :spoton:

There shouldn't be any droning, unless you replace the cat with a highflow one.

oh ok, I got the impression that by replacing with centre muffler with pipe instead of hotdogs, it cause a bit of a drone .... what would be the point of hotdogs then, just to quieten it down even more?

It drones a little when in a hiher gear accelerating from a relatively slow speed, eg. 3rd gear doing 60kmph up steepish hill, apart from that it doesnt drone at all, the hotdogs are to quiten it down, it is much louder outside the car than what it sounds from the drivers seat, the cabin is well insulated and dulls the exhaust sound down to the driver, but everyone else in the outside world cops it pretty loud.

Dazza.

Theres a small amount of drone even with the hotdogs.. But its nothing to be worried about

But you cant hear it inside the car. I have the hotdogs and it sounds good.
