Yeah mine had around 30k's, sure this has been done before and anything under 100 was the norm.

Mine had 63 kms on it when I picked it up. As it was the first MKII-6 speed delivered to that dealer, I'm guessing that the boys in the workshop gave it a thorough quality check

Now its 10.5 months old and has over 35,000kms

That's because anything over 100km can no longer be sold as a new car... It must be sold as either near new or demo (and you should get the cost savings associated with it...)

Hi all.

Getting my first brand new T next week   Coming from a lancer it should be great. A couple of questions how many km's should the car have when I pick it up from the dealership, what is an acceptable amount? What type of things should I look out for when picking the car up ie. scratches on rims etc.?

I'd squeel if it had more than 10kms.

When your picking up the car, you'll be excited and just want to drive it away. so make sure the dealer should have the car in a well lit customer inspection area for you to go over it.

If this takes you less than 20 minutes than your rushing it. Do a web search and you find some checklists on what to look for, I think the Auto traders association has a downloadable check list that would be handy.

no need to squeel if you put restrictions on the k's they could simply do as they pls then hook up the wds and clear the k's all that would be left would be a undisclosed code that you wont see just a ford tech or a scanner operator!!!

I'd rather the true k's!!!!!

I think mine had just over 200kms on the clock but I had a considerable cost saving associated with that, as well as a new engine after 3000kms so im happy.

mine had 17k's and the build date was stamped 4 days b4 I picked it up

My XR8 had 34k's on it and half a highway in microscopic spots all over her, so much for pre-delivery detailing! Check your paintwork.
