22/07/05 02:17 PM22/07/05 02:17 PM #1 Hi All,I had enough of magazines and Expensive Daewoo blokes talking about the F6 and how slow it is. With this in mind, I needed to confirm my feelings that this vehicle is a lot quicker than most people realize. The venue was calder park tonight. Please note that my car is absolutely standard, normal premium petrol (Not good stuff like optimax) no modifications except removing the number plates.First run and [email protected].I tell you what, I was happy to go home after one go.The other two runs I had were also in the 13's but not as good due to me trying different launch techniques. With a perfect takeoff, a flat13 is not out of the question..NOT BAD FOR A STOCK TAXI!!!WELL DONE FORD!!!!!We better let the Expensive Daewoo boys know!Cheers

22/07/05 10:21 PM22/07/05 10:21 PM #10 I have similar experience with stock Phoon - with far better times than the motor-noters get. I think it is a lot to do with the latest FPV stock tune (edit) that was done on mine at 3,000ks service. I have a G-Tech, which maps standing starts to 60 and 100kph and 1/4mile and braking distance / time. Pre the FPV upgrade edit - my best 0 -100kph was 6.01; since the edit best 5.54. that's a nice improvement.Next step is ExtremeTune edit..... http://www.xtremefordtuning.com/Will report results.
