I have talked to the ford tec and then to some tyre ppl and I am getting different storys. I would like to know from you guys/gals what kind of pressure you are running in your xr's. The tyre type are Dunlop SP9000 size 245/40 R18. Cheers Gavin

05/07/05 11:28 PM05/07/05 11:28 PM #3 This has been done many times on the forum. I run mine at 38 psi all round. This was the general concensus of the mojority who responded to the last thread. The tyre shop agreed that this is optimum. Anywhere between 36-40 psi is good. BTW I have 18'' aswell.

06/07/05 01:46 AM06/07/05 01:46 AM #5 I got 17's on mine and run 40psi.gives a good ride and I just got 62000km from my first set of tyres.only changed my tyres now cause I got a really good price on new ones.
06/07/05 02:13 AM06/07/05 02:13 AM #6 Running 30/32 on mine.Done 36,000 no sign of bad wear yet and no problems with grip
06/07/05 02:41 AM06/07/05 02:41 AM #7 Nothing less than 40psi cold pressure all round, all conditions.Dingah
06/07/05 02:41 AM06/07/05 02:41 AM #8 I'm running 41 in the front and 37/38 in the rear. You need a higher pressure in the front to combat tyre roll and wear on corners. I run lower in the rear because at 41 they are difficult to get traction when launching.
06/07/05 03:08 AM06/07/05 03:08 AM #9 45 in the front 40 in the rear (19's) when I did my last defensive driving they recomended 36psi around town and 40 on the freeway for most tires and to add another 5 psi for low profile tyres.
