Spring Choices

This has probably been done to death before, and I've read a fair bit on it in past threads, but I'd like to pose the question again in a more direct fashion, if I may.

I note that most members that have lowered their cars have used King Springs to do so. Was this mainly a cost issue or do you think these are genuinely better than counterpart products offered by the likes of Herrods, Pedders, etc?

I thought I'd have the car lowered when I got new mags for it, and am trying to make a choice as to which springs to go for. At the moment I can't decide between King Springs and Pedders, so any advice would be very welcome! :nerd8:

DONT USE PEDDERS

that is all...

You pretty much get what you pay for. Why not go bilstiens?? Lovells??

Depends on whether you want performance or looks. I say dont use pedders because I havent heard anything good about them yet (shocks always seem to fail after a short period)

Well, yes indeed, why not? To be honest I hadn't really considered those two, but am open to any suggestions. I guess I'm mainly after looks, but don't want to sacrifice performance too much. If I can get a product that will perform better for similar $$ (or even slightly more), then I'm happy to go with that.

My gut feeling is that Bilstein would perform better, but would be SUBSTANTIALLY more expensive? Can anyone confirm this please? And what about Lovells? Where do they stand in this sort of company?

PS Thanks for the tip on Pedders, I'll cross that one off my list!

Try eibach springs, not sure if you can get them for the xr6t but on previous cars they were miles ahead of king springs and lovells for similar dollars.

Yeh I can relate to the shocks failing that's for sure.
